Some of these photos were taken only five minutes from the main square (San Marcos), where we found the soul of Venice. As most travelers do not venture beyond the main attractions, we found this area quieter yet full of local life. We also did the tourist thing by taking a local ferry so David could photograph the Grand Canal.
